Grace Andiki sent these photographs which give a good idea of what is happening at Got Matar Secondary School as it prepares to start classes on Monday 5 February. Just 4 months have elapsed since the decision was taken to start construction of the first phase of the building programme, and during this period plans were finalised, a contractor selected through tender, the buildings completed to a satisfactory standard, staff recruited and pupils enrolled. The school is now already able to offer better livelihood prospects for up to 150 Form One students.
There is still a long way to go to complete all that is required to take on the full complement of 600 children, but I believe that we are on the right track.
