Here is Kelvine Oduor's end of term
report, issued at the completion of his first term at Got
Matar Secondary School. Kelvine is an orphan who has been
consistently at or close to the top of his class at Pap Lela
Primary School. He has now come second in one of the 3
Form|One streams at Got Matar. He enclosed his report with a
letter of appreciation, in which he said that, had the new
school not been built, he would "never have seen the inside
of a secondary school classroom".
Orphans are receiving free schooling. All other pupils pay
fees which have been set at a level intended to meet
operating costs. |
